With a tapestry-like composition of curling leaves, Blackthorn was designed for wallpaper by J. H. Dearle in 1892 and has a mottled appearance to mimic the look of traditional hand-printed woodblocks. This wallpaper is a part of Colours of Morris, a curated collection of Morris & Co.’s most iconic patterns thoughtfully recoloured in a versatile new palette. It features sloe blossom, violets, and various meadow flowers, including fritillaries and daisies.
